Guiding is not a first career for us. However, we always pursued  fly fishing adventures deep into the mountains of Western North Carolina, Tennessee, North Georgia, and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Out of love for Western North Carolina and plentiful fly fishing opportunities, we both moved our families to the high country west of Asheville near Bryson City, NC. 

 

Living and fishing in Western North Carolina, we are close to some of the best fly fishing in the southeast.  With towns like Bryson City, Cherokee, Sylva, and Waynesville to enjoy after a long day on the water, there could not be a better place to live and fish. 

 

Never ones to limit our skills and fishing to Western North Carolina,  we are also experienced in salt water fly fishing and spinning rod as well. Seeking tail walking tarpon in the keys to bountiful tropical fish in Belize, we are always seeking out a new adventure.

 

We are excited about what the future holds for Tuckaseegee Fly Shop and our families, who have been rock solid supporters.  We are not the average fly fishing guides who are just taking clients out on another routine fly fishing trip.  We want to help you advance your knowledge, skills, and overall experience in the sport of fly fishing, and while we are at it, have a blast!
