Delayed Harvest Stocking Schedule
Conditions are turning for the fall finally! Around mid August we had a shift and cooler nights began to show up. Morning water temps on the WNC Fly Fishing trail went from 66 down to around 60-62! This makes a big difference in how the fish react. We are also starting to see positive reactions to the color Orange which is another sign fall is indeed coming despite the feeling of being stuck in March. The Tuckaseegee has been sleepy for Smallmouth as it has remained turbid due to heavy afternoon showers. However, the Tuck in Jackson County is scheduled to be stocked October 8th so we know there will be activity that day! Below is the schedule for the NC Wildlife Delayed Harvest Program. We can't wait to see everyone this fall!
